Ram?n Observer: Jos? Ram?n Your skills: Advanced (many years) Date/time of observation: 21/09/09, 00:45:00 Location of site: Puerto de Tarna, Asturias (Spain) (Lat 43?05′06″N, Elev 1492 meters) Site classification: Rural Sky darkness: 3 Seeing: N/A <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)> Moon presence: None - moon not in sky Instrument: Naked eye (6mm f/4 :) Magnification: N/A Filter(s): UHC Object(s): NGC 7000 Category: Emission nebula. Class: Constellation: Cyg Data: mag 4 (?) size 120' x 100' Position: RA 20h:59m DEC +44?:32' Description: No filter, nothing visible -even trying with telescope...- With just the UHC, you can see a faint, largue cloud elongated E-W and west of Deneb... that is!. "Mexico" and the Gulf aren't visible, and of course no trace of the Pelican or the red colors, but it's fun to see how your eye with just a filter beats a telescope that's able to get nearly 300 times more light. -- ** This observing log was submitted via the IAAC Web form: www.visualdeepsky.org/enter-log.html
