In the first minutes of observation, I thought of having collected some photons of this object; with the supposed site of NGC 4535 was a stellar object in appearance, perhaps the core of this spiral. Thereafter, I checked with Herald-Bobroff Astro-Atlas to realize that it is rather a star of low brightness which I observed, and not NGC 4535. M49 in the same FOV. -- Optional related URLs: ** This observing log automatically submitted via the Web from: http://www.visualdeepsky.org/enter-log.html From anonymous at sedna.atmob.org Sun Jun 11 21:45:42 2006 From: anonymous at sedna.atmob.org (anonymous at sedna.atmob.org) Date: 11 Jun 2006 21:45:42 -0400 Subject: (IAAC) Obj: NGC 5068 - Negative report - Inst: Vixen 9x63 binoculars Message-ID: <20060612014542.21622.qmail@sedna.atmob.org> ---- Observation Poster: St?phane Meloche Observer: St?phane Meloche Your skills: Intermediate (some years) Date/time of observation: 2006/04/30 4h43 UT Location of site: Coaticook (Qc), Canada (Lat 45.17?, Elev ) Site classification: Rural Sky darkness: 5.2 Seeing: <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)> Moon presence: None - moon not in sky Instrument: Vixen 9x63 binoculars Magnification: Filter(s): Object(s): NGC 5068 - Negative report Category: External galaxy.
